Engaging Educational Entertainment

Magic Jake offers 3 educational incursion programs available to primary schools perfect for all ages designed created and developed in consultation with teachers & educators to reinforce concepts and values from your curriculum

They will be captivated throughout the 45 minute show while learning important messages involving anti-bullying, the importance of reading and the three R's, Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.

Why should you use a magic show to convey educational messages to children?

Great question! If you work in schools then you know how hard it can be to hold a kids attention to teach them about a important subject, that's where Jakes magic shows are here to help. Jake delivers the important educational messages in a way that's fun, engaging, entertaining, interactive and most importantly... MEMORABLE!

Also included with every one of Jakes shows is a 'teachers guide'. This guide includes materials such as artwork , posters, and classroom activities educators can use to recap and reinforce the educational messages delivered after the show is over.

Also available is Jake's just for fun show, which is perfect for special events and also performs balloon twisting and strolling magic which would be an ideal addition to a school fete/fair, visit our special events page for more information.

'Be a H.E.R.O' is so much more than just a magic show performance, it's a motivational experience for students to embrace who they are, believe in themselves and not to be discouraged from what other people say or think.

H.E.R.O stands for Helping Everyone Respect Others wiith the three key points of focus:

1) What Is Bullying

2) The Impact Of Bullying

3) How To Make Bullying Disappear

'Read To Achieve', encourages kids to put down their electronic devices and explore the fun and excitement found within books in their library.

This show focuses on inspiring young readers by bringing popular books to life and teaching lessons like fiction or non-fiction, what is a biography, looking after the books you borrow and more!

'Big Green Planet' aims to educated kids on the three R's:

Reduce - How do we reduce our waste usage?

Reuse - When can we reuse items?

Recycle - What things can be recycled?

They learn the impact plastic and littering has on the environment along with several little choices we can make that have a BIG difference.

This show is a 'just for fun' program with no educational themes, perfect for a special occasion.

The kids will be in fits of laughter & amazement throughout the show with astonishing magic and silly comedy just right for kids.

All the kids get involved, interact & have FUN!

"We would like to thank you for the AWESOME show on Saturday.

The kids loved every moment and I reckon you had quite a few parents enthralled too.

I had a few of the kids come over to me at school this morning asking me when are you doing another show for them"

  • We booked Jake for a show, what now?
Here's a quick 3 step guide to have the show run smoothly as possible: 1) The Arrival - Jake will arrive 1 hour before the scheduled start time to load in and set-up the show, please let us know where the best place to park is if it is not easily accessible. 2) The Set-up - Find a room indoors to host the show where Jake can set-up and perform the the kids, school halls work great. Jake will also require a nearby power socket for the show. NOTE: We do not recommend having the show outdoors. 3) The Show - It's Showtime! Time to bring the kids in and get them seated on the floor. After performing at a lot of centres through the years we have found it is best to seat the older children at the front, there are several reasons why this is optimal. Firstly they become the engine driving this interactive show, the younger ones will look to them on how to react or behave. Secondly seating toddlers towards the back allows their attention (and physical bodies) to wander, they can also be quickly and easily attended to if needed in a way that won't distract the flow of the show. And there you have it the 3-step guide to having a smooth-running incursion! To recap: have easy access to venue, make sure the show is indoors and seat the younger toddlers towards the back.
